I don’t know if it would be smart of a Japanese film studio to hire unknown non-Asian actors as the principle cast of a big film especially when it is obvious Hollywood wouldn’t do the same thing - they tend to get big name actors for example; regardless of the movie, it would likely be a big risk considering that

He even has a voice actor who overact his lines, which works well as it reminds me of Geese Howard from the previous games.

I am happy since it means that the BBC will take risks to reinvent the show over and over again. I was afraid the series would go back to the formulaic “handsome Space Gandalf who woos most of the women he encounters” since it seems that what some of the fans wanted.

Thank you for spoiling it for me since I too haven’t seen Homecoming yet. I somehow skipped this in the article, but didn’t skip your comment.

I just read an old article where the director of the original anime film, Mamoru Oshii, defended the casting of Scarlett Johanson. hope there are people on this thread pointing out that because he is okay with the casting, we should be.

False equivalents, dude. Attack on Titan and FMA are made by a Japanese studio with a Japanese budget. Even though FMA was filmed in Italy, I can imagine it taking up a lot of the film’s budget - the film is being made with a small budget despite using technology normally used by Hollywood.

I understand where the confusion comes from since there was a quote when the live-action film came out where a PR guy for international projects at the company who makes the anime said something to the likes of the Major being seen as Caucasian and people lap it up as if the creator himself said it.

Hopefully, this game will be somewhat related to “Her Story” in regards to story.

I agree that mods need to be checked at times as the power can really go to their heads. Back when chatrooms were popular, I, (when I was in my early 20s) used to frequent the official Sims 1 chatroom. Because the mods were not Maxis/EA employees and were random people that spent hours on the chatroom were very

Finally, someone who gets it! Thank you for giving me a witty reply. I was getting a bit meh receiving explanations that Ash aged in this film despite it being a retelling of a character in anime that is likely using a floating timeline. You get a star for that!

Most animated series are on a floating timeline where it is rare for a character to age

I agree that the story has flaws. I read a comment from a commentator at the CV dungeon forums where he said it was pretty stupid for Dracula to take one year to enact his revenge by raising an army of demons since he can easily destroy everyone involved in the burning right there. I agree, though I can see why

I know Misty was the same age as Ash. I was joking that he replaced her for a younger model because she aged a lot between the original season to the current season.

Is it me or are Ash’s companions keep getting younger and younger? Maybe Ash suffers from the same growth disorder like Webster from Webster where he still looks like a kid even though he is an adult. That said, Ash probably wanted to act like a 10 year old, so he ditched Brook and Misty for little kids.

I am not sure if this will get shut-down since Capcom did allow Mugen, a fighting game engine, to be around with their assets to be used. There is also that Megaman vs. Street Fighter game floating around.

I thought the writing was a bit vulgar at times, though I wasn’t surprised since this series was in production for almost a decade where excerpts of the writing were released for example, the goat fucking scene) giving us a sense of what the tone of the series would end up being.

It is okay, though there is a lot of talking and only two major (three of you include the bar scene) right scenes. He ate smaller fight scenes, however.

I haven’t really been into anime since I was in middle school. That said, is 7 Mortal sins a movie or a hentai? Just surprised how much nudity and fan service it has from the trailer considering, from my understanding, that anime has been tone down on Japanese tv long ago.

I feel the same way as I loved the first season where Ichigo was a “rogue” shinagami trying to save Rukia. I feel that it had gotten “stupid” when the Shinagami guys and gals all became friends of Ichigo; I had to stopped watching since I thought it jumped the shark.
