It’s not really about benefits - it’s about CA getting these guys to pay payroll taxes. That’s what it’s always been about. The drivers will just switch to a looser Venmo payment system and avoid them, anyway.

It’s probably OK on market price, but I’m out on modern V6's. Most seem to have that infernal internal water pump setup run by the timing chain resulting in a multi-thousand dollar maintenance repair, and plastic guides that fail and grenade the engine. Same failure across a bunch of brands - GM, Ford, Nissan, etc.
