Read the Yelp reviews, not hard to see why these guys failed, because apparently they really sucked.

Yeah, comments on other forums have been pretty enlightening on these. Like, they were poorly maintained garbage with broken interior parts just thrown on the floor board, never cleaned, major range issues (you might rent one and find it almost dead), etc. If you complained, they comped you some free time on a rental. 

My advice on working these old Nissan (or any engine, really)...if something has a vacuum line connected to it, try to unbolt it from it’s bracket (or whatever) and move it aside without disconnecting the line, rather than just disconnecting everything, since you will inevitably put the lines back on wrong and very

Not an expert, but I think a Crown Vic front end can be relatively easily swapped, room enough for that powertrain, too.

NP. Bit of a premium based on the A-Spec, since most buyers don’t know/care what that is, but this is actually in line with the market for these.

Hasn’t every other manufacturer been given the green light to reopen? It hardly seems out of bounds for him to want to restart production.
