Damn, was worried something might be amiss health-wise.

Dude, what the fuck, hahaha, why are you labeling me a “Sony fan?” I was overzealous by having a conversation with you after you responded to my comment? And trolling through your comments? Huh? I read this article and went through a bunch of comments–found this one. I read a lot of Kotaku comments.
Right, it’s about the quantity, quality, and variety of games on a console.
No, they’re really not. Considering video game consoles are for playing new games, exclusives are the primary asset that sets platforms apart from each other.
It’s not pointless; it’s fun. A bit trivial? Sure, I suppose, but that’s OK. It’s a celebration of a small detail worthy of praise in a game. The site is by no means built purely on short little pieces about random effects. It’s built on well-written, in-depth reporting and critical examinations of games and the…
Well, yeah, Insomniac owns the Sunset Overdrive IP, so they could make the sequel with whoever would be willing to fund it. There’s clearly some interest at Insomniac in making a sequel, as they’ve pretty much said they just need a publisher. I think, even looking outside of Microsoft, they’d still likely have…
Rise of the Tomb Raider’s snow was mighty impressive! I thought the active movement through the snow, like at the foot’s point of contact, looked a tad awkward, though. The after effect of the path and the depth of the snow were most impressive to me there. Horizon looked better at the point of contact and could do…
As an editor, my grammar mistake is haunting me.
Haha, I thought you knew the difference, Gene Jacket :) . Though, Santa Monica Studio isn’t even fucking in Santa Monica anymore, so who even cares!
Assuming the reporting was all on the up and up, and there’s not a whole lot of reasons to assume otherwise, this does not set a good precedent.
The funny thing about Spider-Man was that that game actually was rumored a few months out from the announcement, but not heavily and as a Sucker Punch game, not an Insomniac game!
I think the much bigger issue is there’s probably a very small chance Microsoft would want to pony up the money to invest in Sunset Overdrive 2 after the first title didn’t exactly set the world on fire. They’re pretty risk-averse these days, especially when it comes to linear, narrative-focused, single-player games.
Kinja’d
Remedy is no longer partnering with Microsoft, at this time. Theoretically, Remedy could make Alan Wake 2 for whatever platforms they wanted, as the IP is owned by them. But they would need a major publisher’s big support, and considering the linear, single-player, narrative focus of Alan Wake, they’re going to have…
Aloy <3
You mean, Sony Santa Monica :) . Though, Sony San Diego does some damn impressive work of their own on MLB The Show.
Haha, my dude Hideji_CO, it’s probably the most realistic snow I’ve ever seen in a game. Snow that’s blown into a space by wind, like on a mountain, is often described as very “chalky.”
My mind was absolutely blown the first time I played the demo (demo!) for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and saw Nate emerge from the water with only the half of his jeans which were previously submerged appear realistically wet.
Popular games of the moment are often being enjoyed by many Kotaku staff writers at once. Those writers will then generate articles and content related to the games they’re playing, as that is their job. When something is especially impressive or enjoyable about a game, including little technical or artistic details,…
Haha, I don’t want you to worry about anything. We’re just... having a conversation about why we are and are not worried!
