Its the result of putting a coupe over a chassis designed for a sedan body.

The Mustang was designed to fit upon the current Falcon chassis used. some of the Mustangs will be converted Falcons. V8 supercars use a control chassis just different bodywork on top.

yeah, its functional though. so its all good.  fast, ugly parts still look good...

No, they’re using it to smooth the transitions from CI and SI, and to reduce the chance of knocking by toque filling and adding gas power slower. It isn’t really powering the car, just being used to trick you into thinking you have a normal engine.

Honestly, if you’re going to inspect them within an inch of their life, and heavily penalize anybody that deviates the slightest bit, why not just make it a spec series?  Why spend a kajillion dollars making custom bodies that are all supposed to be exactly the same?  If NASCAR wants them all to be the same, then cut

“Overheight Must Turn” isn’t really good wording, since it’s not immediately clear that it is a specific warning that an overheight vehicle has been detected, as opposed to a general warning.

I love the response from Stewart-Haas. It’s the rulebooks fault, not the teams.

Just make it a spec series with generic fiberglass bodies already.

Also - insanely increasing ticket prices, building the same cookie cutter track everywhere, killing off small tracks that were unique, sponsors sucking the personality out of the drivers.

Plus the drift towards spec cars.

I say they should encourage the cheating. It makes things far more interesting.

Cheating teams isn’t what ran most people off from NASCAR. Nah,what really got us running was the stage format.

Hardcore Corvette fans are going to insist that if it isn’t a FR naturally aspirated V8, it’s not a true Corvette (which is why they really should call it the “Zora” instead). I say make it the Ferrari/Porsche killer Arkus-Duntov always wanted the Corvette to be, and then price it accordingly.

Then I guess I’m gonna have to buy a $1200 Craigslist Miata instead.

Going a little fast there, buddy. Where’s the fire? *Points back at police officer’s car.

Something not mentioned in this post which should be dissected to death, John Roberts recused himself as well.

I’d just leave. You bought the goods, they’re yours, you don’t have to let them check your receipt.

Worst case scenario, you go to the service desk, sbow them your membership card, and they print out a copy of your receipt.

Check Google Maps and see what the Iranians might be able to get up to. They’ll start dumping mines into the Persian Gulf and set up artillery over the Straits of Hormuz and see how many Arab tankers get out and how many food ships get in. They can easily choke Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE and do a ton of damage
