I’d be lucky to get $3k for my ‘92 GTI 16V and it has actual performance mods and some silly rare Euro parts... CP for the poor Jetta Coupe :(

So much this. Completely ridiculous.

Because clearcoats aren’t better nowadays. I’ve already had to pay to respray the trunk and hood on my BRZ due to shit eating the paint, through multiple layers of wax...

That’s too bad. Have fun at R&T!

Autocross this Sunday at Wells Fargo Center ;)

So you’d be ok with his Dakota rolling over? I can’t think of any reason they’d disallow it otherwise. Hell, a guy local to me runs a lowered Cherokee with enormous slicks and a supercharger. It’s not very fast but it sure is entertaining!

For being enthusiasts, some of these people REALLY suck at driving. Let’s just turn the wheel more when the car isn’t steering!

Wow, look at how much the nose drops when the rear wing rips off.

Could have been swapped from a G60 or 16V using all factory parts too, but it doesn’t much matter. :)

They were available with a VR6, could have been factory...

Really really cool cars, but electrical nightmares, and really pretty “meh” handling due to their extra weight and heavy engines.

Be pedantic all you want, but that’s not a boat in the spirit of the article.

Should have had a Cobb short shifter too

Woohoo, let's have zero respect for track limits! Would be so much cooler if he had kept it on the track...

Big time WTF? moment here.

Yeah, it hides the silly looking front end...

Heh. I saw the GIF and my first thought was "No way, I've been there!" Sure enough... I have been. Maryhill Loops Rd is right near there, which is where Car vs Bike Drift 2 was filmed, and a lot of car commercials and such. Take a look at the Maps link and it's a bit Northeast of the crash site.

You'd be correct.
