That may be true. But nothing ... nothing I tell you! ... is better at finding breast cancer than the thorough examination of an attractive woman’s breast.

So the logic here is that everyone dies of something eventually so there’s no use trying to treat cancer early?
Your evidence may be anecdotal, but it is also supported by this study and countless others - cancer screening reduces death rates from the cancers that are screened for. So yes, many people’s lives have been saved by cancer screening, and many of died from cancer because they weren’t screened.
The problem is that now you’re going to get a hundred replies from people who know someone whose cancer was caught early and they survived.
I haven’t searched for figures to back this up (but I do have some involvement in the medical industry) - I doubt cancer screening is a bit enough money spinner to drive pushing it unnecessarily. Perhaps the (sometimes) unnecessary treatments resulting from that screening might be, but even then I doubt it (there’s…

How often is that actually a scenario in…
So, I’ll say up front that I want to be able to use encryption on my phone, and I don’t want no government back doors into that encryption (for the very reason you say - any intentional hole is exploitable).
Macs are no longer niche. Last time I was in an airport lounge, every single laptop around me was a MacBook. They also make great Windows machine (except no touch) :).
Oh, I understand humor well enough. But to be funny, it has to actually be on point.
