On one hand, I feel like this dude is going all RIAA/MPAA on a small town newspaper run by old folk trying to stay in business

30 years ago when I went to the University of Queensland, this experiment sat outside out physics lecture theatre. One of our favourite hobbies was to stomp up and down on the floor beside it, hoping the vibrations would help induce something to happen. Nothing ever did, of course.

Heh... All my whining about forced perspective and I only just read the article's title... "This Is Not Fancy Camerawork..." - well, no, Andrew, it's mostly just fancy camera work :)

Ah, now we can get an actual sense of its size (well, in one bit - they're still forcing the perspective in many of those shots). That crab does not look like it is in a very good mood :)

These are the worlds largest crabs

don't click it

When you live in Australia, a 15" crab isn't that exciting :). Regardless, I still want to see pictures that convey its size accurately rather than exaggerating it.

Hmmm... Gotta love forced perspective photos that make it appear larger than it actually is. Would like to see a photo of it BESIDE a person. It's 15" across - large, but nowhere near as large as it appears in those photos.

I've used both...

You keep teeth in your wallet?

But yes, it'll probably suck for a bit

It's... ah... a little hard to sink your teeth into, eh?

Hmmm... Not sure exactly what you're trying to say, but I think you may need to double-check the meaning of the word "homophobe".

Brian Greene's book on this topic, "The Hidden Reality", is a good read.

because clicking ads isn't my job

Damn! I hate it when people ruin perfectly good propaganda with facts!

I have found they fit quite conveniently through the x-ray machine.

:)

We all owe a lot to the banner ad clicker. Without him, the internet wouldn't be so much fun (and so free, mostly) for the rest of us. All you people who block ads should be thanking our hapless banner ad clicker, too, since he is doing your work for you.
