Did this. Bought a 2007 WRX with no experience driving a stick in May. DDing it in Houston traffic (35 miles one way). You learn pretty darn quick.
My rule of thumb when car shopping is that if I don’t know more about the car than the salesperson, then I haven’t done enough research.
This is a great article. I recently test-drove a 2014 Sorento SX and a 2013 Acura MDX and can’t say that the MDX was $15k nicer.
