The difference is, even if the PC version is affected in different countries, we can just purchase the game using a VPN/friend from that country. I've lost track of how much money I've saved on Steam from getting my Russian friend to buy me a game for usually 2/3rds the price of it in the U.S. It can work both ways…

It's not the fact that SD looks bad on HDTVs, it's the fact that we've gotten used to HD and can't go back to SD. If you only watch 1 or 2 things/month in 4k, then HD will be fine with you.
