@Fallen_Reality: I personally think that the transformer seen in the ship is the later incarnation of Unicron. Colors are wrong for Alpha Trion. The second movie was special effects with plot as an afterthought, but it entertained me, and I am a very old school fan from when G1 was first aired in '84.

@Brian Schlosser: I have to agree, the Thing from Another World was pretty far from the source material. John Carpenter's The Thing was a lot closer. In addition, this movie is a prequel to John Carpenter's movie. I don't see why people keep bringing up the 50's movie when people say original, it's kinda clear cut.
