I think what the OP meant was wealth management, not finances. I’m Taiwanese, and grew up in Taiwan. Wealth management was taught at a much earlier age there. For example, why say an apple + an apple gives you two apples, when a child can just as easily be taught a dollar + a dollar gives you two dollars? I feel like…
Wealth management is the most essential skill missing from education. This is something that should become second nature by high school, yet it’s almost treated as a taboo. It’s as if there’s something wrong with teaching children about money. I would gladly sacrifice one more gym class of dodgeball for kids to learn…

I was referring specifically to the fire ritual scene, which is the funniest thing I’ve seen in anime.
People naturally follow eyes, and there’s no better way to direct attention. Tony Zhou (and his excellent Every Frame a Painting series) often touch on this concept too.
You need to experience the Sakamoto Fire Dance.
What in the fuck did I just watch?
That D better be decade.
which will be out for PS4 and Steam on July 19
I can’t argue that.
Nothing wrong with your preference. I just personally get bored with the same love-conquers-all characters and find the tragic characters much more entertaining. I’m sure if ratio was flipped, I would want more of the former. Variety.
I think I look for a different experience than you do in games. I prefer the realism of politics, and the inevitably hopeless struggles against it. I want to be someone watching the events unfold, and are only able to affect it in semi-realistic ways. I like that the non-romantic stories from the FF series end with…
Found your man.
How are people not getting this joke? What the fuck kind of sick world do we live in?
My experience is usually the opposite since I’m using a fairly old BitFenix Prodigy M with a massive CPU cooler and a Sapphire card the length of my case. I literally had to plug in the 4-pins with extra long chopsticks. I mean, I’m damn good with chopsticks, but it was a little ridiculous.
Although I do want more FFT games, what I really want is more FFT-style plots in the main series. Romance is also boring for many people other than myself. I particularly liked that the PC is only a pawn swept up in a much larger scheme that he essentially has no control over. He’s not important. He’s no world saving…
I don’t see this passing. Content creation is now available for anyone, and there will always be those who find this kind of shit entertaining.
I really like XII’s POV. They definitely pulled a Rosencrantz thing, and seeing things from an outsider’s perspective was refreshing.
The lack of romance was my favorite part of the XII. The romance in the FF series has always been very generic and an unnecessary subplot. It’s like, bro, the world’s ending. Save the planet, then worry about romance.
