The picture is of Hood River, OR, which does not have enough wave energy on the Columbia River in the foreground. That’s Mt. Hood in the background and not visible from Newport.

Bob Rahal Senior, not Junior. Of course he was Mr. Rahal to me. I grew up two doors down, and he was often wrenching in his driveway on his MG TD or his TR3. Yes, he raced them on weekends. With a dad like that I can understand how Bob Junior got into racing.

Used to drop 150 gallon Class 8 fuel tanks full of water onto a thick concrete slab. The tanks are not allowed to leak more than an ounce by weight a minute.

1953 Morgan when it was new. Still my favorite.

We are getting a porketta roast from Sheridan’s near you, along with some of our sides. Other PDX store deli’s will provide the rest. No hassles.

To hell with teabags for the Lapsang Souchong. I buy it loose leaf by the pound and brew it in an insulated stainless steel French press. I go through several pounds a year.

Check out “Melting Salts” such as sodium citrate (available from Amazon).

Just how much did the stainless steel rocket skin rust? The Atlas SM-65 was basically a thin-skin balloon, stiffened by pressurized fuel and liquid oxygen. The cryogenic liquid oxygen would shatter any steel alloy that could rust.

Does it drift crop circles?

Ouch, I read that as “intermmitently farts”

A 50cc streamliner bike went 145mph in 2008 at Bonneville.

I had that combination of Check Engine and Traction Control lights after routine maintenance at a dealer. I pulled P0102 and P0112 codes. Took my car back.

It isn’t, but traffic jams don’t matter.

That would be a Grand Cavern minivan
