If you get compensated by the hour, then that is something nice, yes.
But most people in tech companies don’t, I even have seen contracts where they stated that up to 10 hours overtime per week were uncompensated (but they expected you to do those 10 hours every week regardless).
Believe me, you see stuff like this

Having one or more secluded rooms for one person apiece is something different to the setup above. Showers etc are a nice-to-have, but there is a difference between some basic accomodations and an active encouragement to spend as much time as possible at the workplace. That up there looks extremely like that though,

The existence of beds shows me that this is a real unhealthy workplace.
If you need beds then you have that kind of environment where workers are encouraged to stay at the company as long as possible, forgoing social contacts outside and “live for their job”.
This is pretty prevalent in the gaming and tech industry,

BMW in German stands for “Bring Mich Werkstatt”, which ist semi-correct german for “bring me to a garage” :D
Alternative text “Bei Mercedes Weggeschmissen” - “thrown away at Mercedes”.
Don’t worry, it is all in good fun. Other brands get their love too, like OPEL (ohne Plan Einfach Losgelegt - started building without

There is a wonderful documentary that came on an additional DVD with the special edition box set of the original trilogy, featuring a 4 1/2 hour documentary about the films.
They explained that they were going for a two-handed blade fighting style like japanese Samurai. Basically, the first strike that really hit would

There is Rust. Just not visible. Get those wheelarch-thingies off of it, they don’t belong there.
Also get rid of those ugly headlamps and install Euro-style lamps.
After that, if the rest is really sound, it could fetch that sum in Germany, they are going crazy here for W124 that have not rusted to death. Especially

*nods* that’s a thing I can hardly understand, as I have grown up in a completely different environment. If you grew up here in Germany in the past 60 or so years you grew up in what I would call a “guilt culture”, always made aware of the wrongdoings of your country and what horrible stuff your ancestors did.
In

But isn’t that something that happens without people really noticing they’re doing it?
I mean, when I visit a different region of my home country and stay there for an extended time, I might catch up a few phrases that the locals use all the time and start using them.
Same when going on holidays, the Irish have their

iirc Porsche has patented active engine mounts in the latest turbo generations that do exactly that, basically acting like a slingshot to get the car going faster. And to make it more stable in high-speed corners.

Yep, that’s why there’s almost no unrestricted Autobahn left in Germany.
Too man people arguing that they “didn’t expect somebody closing in so fast” and just pulling out to overtake without signaling or looking in the rear view mirror twice. That’s why having good brakes is more important here than having lots of

:D I for one don’t care for the Thargoids at all. I would be perfectly fine if it would’ve been the offline game with a static universe that we got promised until one month before release. I still wish that Frontier Developments would’ve gone bust over that, I honestly do.
Yes, they removed VR support from Star

No, not the reincarnation of any guy like that (I can’t even properly drift a car), but when I drive I focus on driving the car, and on nothing else.
If somebody talks to me from the passenger seat they may have to wait for a reply several seconds if traffic demands my immediate attention.
I was taught from my driving

The Euro NCAP is a fucking joke right now. You can have cars that actually perform decent in a crash but get zero stars because they have no assistance systems. Woop dee doo.

I get where you’re coming from, but apart from the excellent VR adaptation I play the Alpha 3.0 of SC more than Elite Dangerous.
I don’t know, I am an Elite veteran since the first game came out on the BBC micro (played it on the C64 though), and got every further one on release date. But the latest release just

quick play doesn’t offer you any real sense of progression though.

Thanks a lot for mentioning this!
I often visit a junkyard, and there were some small cars that were involved in an accident where the belt mounting points had peeled away from the chassis like a sardine tin. They do this intentionally so they still hold you, but not with so much force as to hurt you, but let you still

you CAN actually win with a “non-optimal” team combo though, and sometimes easily because the enemy team is not prepared for your mix’n’match combinations.
But that goes against the mantra of the hyper-competitive - sorry - ASSHOLES who think that every game has to become a sport.
Sorry, not for everyone, not even for a

In Germany you can get a ticket if you leave your car parked with the windows or roof open for “inviting theft”. They can even tow your car (and you have to foot the bill, currently around 400€ where I live) to prevent possible harm to it.

Airbags are no replacement for seat belts.
A belt will protect you from multiple impacts, the airbag just from the first one.
If it is slippery outside and another idiot slams into the rear of the guy who just hit you, you better hope you are wearing your belt.
And FYI airbags and seatbelts are designed to work in

It seems to me that the 959 is somehow even rarer than the F40.
