Sony once tried to install a rootkit as a security measure. You can google how well that went down for them.

Same age group as you here:
Safe spaces and trigger warnings are not needed at all!
We need less of the nanny state all around. I am so sick of these warning labels, the amount of traffic signs, the rules that are slowly erasing common sense from everybodys mind to the point that they are not able to grasp the concept…
A few weeks are actually enough. Typically games sell most of their copies nowadays in the first two weeks, pre-sales included.
So if they are cracked after that nobody cares that much.
Aluminium! There’s an additional “i” in ther ffs!
I get what he means though.
a removable top to place minifigs inside is all nice and ok. But p.ex. having a superstructure built out of steel bars is kinda agains the lego spirit. (but done by a lot of builders of big display units nevertheless because they cannot figure out how to support the own weight of their…
A normal salary in a large (i.e. expensive) town will pay around 40.000€/year for a programmer in a game company, sometimes more. If you are really really good maybe up to 60.000.
About 60% of that is what you are left with after taxes etc... - so from that you can pay your monthly rent, car insurance, other insurances…
Hehe, I know, I also used to have an original grey one with AV out. How or why it was also called PSX over here I don’t know though, didn’t care back then (too young).
Less than in the west? Wouldn’t say so... I know a lot of people who would switch companies in an instant for a salary like this.
The PSX has always been square though:
:D Why aren’t giant plush Tauntauns a thing yet? All the comfort without the smell!
hollow it out, make some plush bones and guts and cuddle inside your Snorlax :D muahahaha
Even over here in Germany Faxes are still sometimes in use. Because you have a timestamp on when it has been sent, complete with a proof of delivery (because the machine on the other side will confirm that it received the message in full), faxes are treated as a secure and fast way of, p.ex. cancelling contracts and…
Hm. Some good points. Glad they are not as abundant here, and a lot of them are just rusting away in our weather conditions - so having a decent one amounts to 5000€ upwards worth of car, and no one just crashes that amount on purpose.
Hm, always ran smooth as silk here. You can buy used parts and get a more-than-decent rig with an i7, 16GB of memory and an AMD 290 or 290X for around 500-600€ here. That machine can handle even a full board of Space Crusade figures quite nicely. Use an SSD (dirt cheap these days) and loading times are gone too.
And I can’t even watch the video here. Since every video that uses music from an artist under contract by a larger music firm gets auto-blocked by Youtube in Germany.
@sbesman: I can’t agree with that. Good quality microphones and also soundcards are a must for something like this. Also a server with some kind of audio level normalization, because people cannot be made to set their voice levels so that everyone sounds about equally loud.

No front outputs on…
a blur at 130km/h? *snortle*
I would bet that the core mechanics, server infrastructure etc... are a direct evolution of the code created for Ingress. It also uses the Google Maps base data for the basic road/building overlay, it re-uses a lot of the portals as Pokestops (some were directly taken by Ingress gamers, I can confirm that since I know…
Interesting, that was already too fast for me. I’ve seen the game perform wildly different on diverse phones, so that might also be a factor here.
Oh, so you never read 666 by Froideval/Tacito? They have Rabbi Commandos in there battling the forces of hell :)
