That is not a security hole at all. You can only access the bootloader partition that way, you will not get access to any partitions with an encrypted filesystem or something else. This is a known design feature of the bootloader, similar to pressing F8 when booting up Windows.

Yes, it can run them. Running Win10 here, no problems at all (I’d say fewer problem than running Win8/8.1 before). It is definitely faster than 7 and a little bit faster than 8 in a lot of day-to-day tasks (opening windows, tools, etc).
