Anything Googie....

L5 by '95!

:\

The Astral! Not only is it a 21st Century atomic flying car, but it's even one made by Studebaker!

The holodeck had been stigmatized for me back in the '90s when certain fanboys would creep me out by daydreaming out loud that they'd weld themselves in there and get it on with a herm hextaur version of Troi....

These guys could also cook up creepy fantasies concerning nannites too....

Taarna rules.

It's probably a better Heavy Metal, The Movie then the actual Heavy Metal; The Movie....

Actually the Mizar Pinto looked cool and flew 40 years ago.

The late '30s Studebaker Coupe Express.

I had a friend who moved from Iowa to Minneapolis named Pat Pat Moriarity. We exchanged mix tapes. One had a Camper Van Beethoven cover of Pink Floyd's "Interstellar OverDrive". Flexia and friends went on to spell it InterStellar OverDrive. I visited him occasionally and we did hit a Cramps show and a Husker Du show.

Not a bad choice.

Maybe an alt '80s where I wasn't stuck in Podunk, Iowa. One where I got to be somewhere else and I could contribute to a Punk/New Wave/Alt scene or be part of the Indie Comic Boom. Instead of stewing while I was all left out.

Well this is a Sci Fi site....

Back in late grade school plus junior high, I was nostalgic for the Steam and Threshing era and the Model-T era.

I even had some technological daydreams about doing fantastical stuff with steam sort of making me Steam Punk before there was Steam Punk back in the Watergate days.

How about all those nekomimi in between?

The Ron Howard footage is based on actual old NASA footage.

16mm film of the real stuff is more realistic, but it's way grainy when blown up to 35mm or so....

Major Matt Mason. Possibly others.

M'ress!

I think that it's mainly because P.E. sucked out loud. "I'm gonna battleball ya into 'blivion for bein' sucha weirdo oddball!"

Maybe redrawing that "Keep on Trekkin'" T-shirt from the '70s so that it looks less klunky and closer to big foot Crumb cartoonyness....
