Cobras are almost as effective yet are so more reliable, when it comes to close air support Kiowas are also more effective because they get so close to the battlefield.

I seriously doubt it, inter-war airplanes especially flying boats got all sorts of crazy to the level they didn't actually fly.

I'd rather do it here so people don't have to navigate away from oppo to get some planeage.

Oh I completely forgot about that one! It's an even crazier cost for the finished product and it can only go a hare faster than a Chinook. I don't have too much knowledge as I never get the chance to talk to Marine mechanics and pilots but that is one sketchy aircraft and a bigger waste of money than the 64s.
