Because what Logano did was at its worst a racing incident, between two drivers competing for position, with Kenseth blocking, probably excessively so if we’re being honest. In any other motorsport he’d have been penalized or black flagged for it laps ago, in NASCAR it basically makes you fair game for a love-tap.

Being 11 laps down takes away any possible excuse he had for racing him hard, or any other justification he might have had.

Still upset he wasn’t benched for the season.

of course it isn’t illegal. In response, drivers have always been allowed to use the chrome horn when the blocking became ‘excessive’.

Yeah, the ‘safety’ aspect is kind of a BS portion of this. The whole manipulating the championship thing is the big deal. Of course, the suspension still leaves him room to come back at Homestead and take Logano out (provided Logano makes the final round).

Um , blocking is not illegal in nascar. It is a large part of it . Blocking is illegal in most all other forms of Motorsport

Kenseth wrecked himself by blocking. Fortunately NASCAR has a long tradition of dealing with blockers. If Kenseth wrecked on a certain black bumper the world would know the sound of 50 thousand simultaneous orgasms. Instead it was Logano so it is a bad thing.

Just remember drivers: wrecking someone for a personal disagreement isn’t allowed, but feel free to wreck someone to preserve your chase spot.

he was 11 laps down and intentionally wrecked the leader. It wasn’t just about the force of the hit.

It seems like NASCAR has more balls than the NFL.

I love that slogan. We have one up here for our town too... “We’re Denton, Dammit!”

I have no problem with ads in general. I don’t necessarily pay attention to them, but I don’t have to for them to “count” and it’s how YTers (for example) make money, so it’s whatever. An ad before a YT video or a small, noticeable but unobtrusive banner ad is fine.

I wonder if more people would read EULAs if they came in a form with a plainspeak version that references the full version and what subsection to find stuff in it.

We used to play this chicken game with the Russians back in the ‘80’s. We were careful to turn off radars and to aim weapons down to the deck to preclude any excuse for a “misunderstanding” and I thought both sides, at least the men on the ships if not the men back at headquarters, pretty-well understood the game. I recommend that even people who hate guns should learn to fire them, at least if they live in the US. These things are everywhere, they are very dangerous if mishandled, and they are very easy to learn to handle properly.

Funny enough, this actually is taught in Tennessee to all 7th graders (or at least, when I was in 7th grade in 2000.) I’m not sure what other states, if any, have gun/hunters safety programs.

KEEP YOUR BOOGER HOOK OFF THE BANG SWITCH.

It’s from the 1990s and has pop-up headlights. Surely we can make an exception.
