It wasn't trying to have the same film noir feeling (except in the flashbacks). It did however, have a fantastic style of its own, great storytelling and dialogue, beautiful graphics (on PC at least), and awesome gameplay. It more than lived up to the Max Payne name in my book, it was phenomenal.

I don't think the issue is that it has combat at all; rather, most of the combat in Infinite felt drab and dull to me. An endless slog that never matched up to the other great bits.
Sounds like more of what Infinite had, and I don't want anymore of that BS. The gameplay wasn't to my liking either.

Heavy rain has easily the worse plot twist ever (SPOILER duh) when the killer is reveled it literally is impossible to guess because the game flat out lies to you because in one scene the reality is actually different from what you played.
