If you have to pay for it, it’s not free. If you lose access to it when you stop paying, then it was never “given away”. Nothing under Xbox or Playstations “free with subscription” games fall under these pervues.

That’s not quite true. Only the on-PSP storefront closed; purchases can still be made on Sony’s webstore, and the games can be downloaded through the PSP’s built-in download list, a PS3, or a PC (via Media Go).

It’s an incredibly bare bones (barely) game being sold at the same price point as a triple a title. If it were being sold at around $20, I could forgive many of its problems. It’s not, so I won’t.

So basically the lesson is... unless it’s an annualized franchise, don’t expect to be playing anything they announce next week until mid / late 2018.

I’m hoping they use all this back story to put together an Overwatch campaign mode as DLC or something. God, I’d buy the hell out of that.
