Evan, this is awesome. I just wanted to give a shout out to Evan and other writers on Gawker (I mostly frequent Kotaku and Deadspin, but peruse the others too) for writing articles like this.

It annoys me how many Demon's Souls players believe the game is above any and all criticism. If you have a problem with an aspect of it, it's not because the game is flawed, it's because "you just suck".

Jesus, I hate the "ugh way to chugg estus noob git gud" assholes in the Souls community. Stay off the Steam forums, those are the absolute bottom of the barrel in terms of gaming communities.

When they appear at all, black video game characters are often reduced to outdated, embarrassing stereotypes. It's commonly accepted that part of the reason for that is that there simply aren't enough black people making video games. So let's break this down:

It's like asking a girl out when you don't care, which is also something I did in high school before I left. A lot. My friends would give me $10, and I would just run around asking girls out, who I know would say no. Or breaking up with girls that I'm not going out with publicly. That's funny.

Considering I have read countless stories of innocent people, even children, accidentally or deliberately shot and killed during swatting incidents gone bad, I can never and will never view "swatting" as anything other than attempted injury and harm from the culprits.

The part of his logic that I think is the absolute worst is that if you are a internet personality, you have to live with the risk of being swatted. It's like saying you have a safe full of money, so you should expect someone to try and rob you.
