It does for me, but my sense of smell is pretty weak, so that's not saying much.

See my reply to Emily Catherine. I overestimated the risk, but I know how bleach works. The danger comes from the byproducts formed of bleach and any organic contaminants on the fruit or the bowl, not directly from the bleach.
That's technically true, but as a general rule, the real-world use of any reactive chlorinated compound (like bleach) is likely to produce some carcinogens via interaction with organic contaminants.
Too late to edit this, but the clip does show her adding a single capfull of bleach to the bowl of water. So it's definitely diluted, and the editing is not misleading. I just missed it the first time.
Another vote for vinegar here. I have a spray bottle of diluted vinegar (I think one part vinegar to five parts water? Ish?) that I use on almost everything. If the smell of vinegar bothers you, try putting orange or lemon peels in the bottle, and maybe let it sit for a week or so before you use it. I was reluctant to…
It's definitely bad for her, and will probably raise her risk of getting cancer significantly. But unless she's ingesting enough to actually cause chemical burns to her throat, it shouldn't kill her immediately.
I don't think I'm obsessive, but I'm definitely on the cleaner side of the spectrum, so I'll try to explain my view.
I have to agree. It took me four months after graduation to find work, but I never got close to being bored. I was anxious and broke and I cried to my mom on the phone for hours, but I definitely wasn't bored. I explored the city, spent a ton of time volunteering, brushed up on my Spanish, and just generally kept busy.
I don't think you can make any comparison without also knowing the average house and family size. 18 hours sounds awfully high for, say, a childless, pet-less, apartment dweller.
It's possible. Many scams are specifically targeted at the elderly, often with the scammers offering some kind of special, seniors-only insurance or mortgage program.
The biggest piece of the "Nice Guy Syndrome" is the sense of entitlement. Developing a crush on a friend is largely out of your control- it happens. Ditto for developing a major crush on someone you barely know. You don't enter Nice Guy territory unless you get angry at women who don't return your feelings. If you can…
Having been on both sides of that situation, I think she was in the wrong to badmouth you to her friends, but I can understand why she might have lashed out. Rejection hurts, whether it's in the form of being turned down for a date or losing a friend.
Higher birthrates are good for the economy. Having a child isn't just a personal choice, it also benefits the country as a whole. And as long as the cost/benefit ratio works out, why shouldn't childbearing be subsidized in the same way that we subsidize education and highways? Everyone benefits when their country has…
I doubt it. Anyone who can afford to fly to the US and stay there until they gave birth could buy themselves an exemption from the one-child rule. Forced abortions generally happen to poor women who can't afford the necessary fines/bribes.
Agreed. If you want to see your friends on Valentine's Day and schedule your date night for another day, that's totally fine. But it's rude to cancel plans with one person in order to hang out with a different person, especially if you're cancelling at the last minute.
It takes my family a solid hour of arguing to put together an order for Chinese food. A massive conspiracy for world domination would be a little beyond our organizational abilities.
It did that for me when I accidentally entered my height in feet-inches format (5'6") but worked properly if I put height in just inches. Is that what happened for you?
The text of the linked article says it's done by MRI, which I really hope is correct. If it is CT, that's horrifying.
Call me cynical, but I suspect that the inevitable shitstorm *was* the point of the campaign. They're getting a ton of free press (and maybe a reputation for being 'edgy'), and they hope that the extra name recognition will earn them more customers than they lose.
Did you read Cohen's article? I agree about the Jez write up, but the actual article is pretty ridiculous.
