It was nice to see the A's wearing their yellow throwback (1970's) shirts last night.

This ridiculous. Just about as ridiculous as what happened to me yesterday when I walked past a booth at the local DMV. It was for a guy named LaRouche and it said "Impeach Obama" and a large picture of Obama with a Hitler mustache drawn on his upper lip.
Mark Twain: "When the world ends, I want to be in Cincinnati because they're always 10 years behind the times."
Trash. Total and complete trash.
I've watched enough How It's Made episodes to realize that no matter what "brand" you're talking about - whether it's a Toyota or Ferrari - cars are cars. Made of glass, metal, rubber, and plastic. And they all fall apart when they're in accidents.
Mark Twain said it best. "If the world comes to an end, I want to be in Cincinnati because it's 10 years behind the times."
I played football. Played it at a young age (pee wee) up until college. I remember the teachings on the field.
Agreed.
What is the lesser of two evils? As the story says, football has always been violent. But did you see what that Washington R—-s player did twice last Sunday when he concussed a Green Bay player, then got concussed himself a few plays later? Both times he basically speared and ran head first during both of these…
Pure hubris on the NFL's part. When you have the power and billions in your coffers, you can do anything....anything at all.
A simple solution - take the helmets off. Players think that with all of that [hard as a rock] padding in there that it makes them invincible. It doesn't.
Ugghh, disgusting. This is a perfect example of if this guy hadn't been a famous football player, nobody would care how he can make a dick of himself.
I love Babe Ruth but he didn't call the home run. He was pointing to someone in the dugout who was giving him shit.
I finally (I think) got one of those play on words jokes often found here.
I think people are really taking this shit way too seriously. I love BB; I love MM; I loved The Waltons in its day; I loved Little House on the Prairie in its day; for movies I love The Godfather...Heat...The Edge...the list goes on.
is better-engineered, is less serious, but lacks a lead character as compelling as Niko Bellic. Also, V has planes. And tanks.
Did you even understand what I meant by "self-serving?" He goes around saying there's no such thing as concussion injuries then turns around and files his own workers comp complaint. I'd say that's a tad hypocritical.
Understood
One thing I'll never understand about the name of this site ( kind of get it that there's supposedly "no spin" here...)
This shit only happens when it's self-serving.
