The system is actually still in the game, but they’ve just rephrased it.

There’s a bunch of side activities that can keep you busy.

If I’m not playing it, I just let my sub lapse, then when I feel the urge, I resub.

A theory I’ve seen around is that Javier got captured by a group and ran away (which is why he’s in handcuffs in the trailer) and that same group got AJ which is why Clem and Javier team up.

If the main character is Javier, then I think its extremely likely that Clem will die in Ep 5.

None of the unlocks are specific to certain targets, but are about the amount and on which map.

It’s not a problem that affects everyone.

You can still enjoy it, you might be missing out on some of the story though, as it does directly reference events that happen in Dishonored 1.
