As someone who had subscribed to this magazine since forever, this bothers me tremendously. This woman does not deserve this honor. She just doesn't.

I cannot remember where I saw it, but Shonda Rimes spoke if the same frustration. She lamented that white show runners are never asked about diversity, but she is. Not only that, she makes effortlessly diverse television, and it works.
