I did some math. I took a map of Turner Field with the distances from home plate to the wall measured and figured out that on my map 1 pixel was 1.6 feet.

God bless The Freeze.

News Flash! The Freeze dusted another bro today even though he stumbled coming out of the “blocks.”

I mean, it sure looked to me like the fan was booking it pretty well before The Freeze took off. The Freeze is an amazing runner.

Ron Darling’s incredible take: “That’s where he belongs, right in the dirt”. Amen Ronnie.

The Freeze has a Twitter account (@BeatThaFreeze), where this awesome idea was posted.

No luck? Quite the opposite i’d say from past crashes.

So then...

You dare doubt The Freeze?

And people still aren’t happy. It’s like he needs to play 1 on 5 against the Cavs for his journey to be meaningful. Fuck that noise. Ball out, get the ring, fuck the haters.

haters are gonna hate. people who don’t want to give KD his due will find a reason not to, but the bar i watched the game at last night was filled with people who watched an amazing performance from an all-time great

Warriors still win, but in 6. They should have won last year, but Draymond couldn’t stop kicking people in the balls, and apparently Andrew Bogut was tearing the team apart with all his conspiracy theories.

He didn’t want to play in OKC anymore. He went to a better, more fun team. People get an asterisk for cheating, not for playing with other good players and choosing the best team available in free agency.

And Robert Horry has more than Michael Jordan. So fucking what? Kevin Durant is the best player on a soon-to-be championship team full of other all-stars. James Jones was the 10th best player on some championship teams led by other people. If those are remotely equivalent in your mind, you’re an idiot.

He’s the best player on a team that’s about to win a championship and is outplaying a top-five all-time guy on the other team. He has every right to beat his chest. Roster construction isn’t his job. His job is to be excellent and he is.

People keep saying “the only thing that matters is the championship.” When you set that goal as the only thing that matters, then that’s what people will chase.

Spicy

I do enjoy KD stepping up and really earning the MVP. While the 2015 series was great it felt like a scramble to name an MVP who wasn’t LeBron (who didn’t get it ONLY because his team lost). KD has truly stepped up and deserves the nod far more than any other Warrior in this series.

Counterpoint

The ghost of the 2012 Finals coming back to haunt the NBA. If they don’t actively make OKC lose, maybe KD isn’t so goddamn thirsty so as to join the Warriors.
