I love this thing but after owning an Element for a few years and knowing what an absolute pain in the ass it was to wash/wax/detail properly, I would have to say no thanks. Look at all the edges and different body pieces!

Hey thanks for all of the info! I am a skinny guy and windsurf as well, so I'm sure I can handle the FX-1. It sounds like it would be a blast.
I'm going to start looking for a older stand-up to buy soon because I want to get back into it and I live close to the Keys in Florida, a 20 minute drive and I can drop one in the bay. I'll look out for the Yamahas as well.

I'm with you man! I know Kawasaki calls all of their PWCs Jet Skis now but I have a hard time calling anything with a seat a Jet Ski. You don't ski sitting down right?
They are all "Personal WaterCraft" but Sea-Doo is just one brand name made by Bombardier.
