Trust me, I'm already thanking the Twins for Vance Worley.

Yes, Nishioka was horrible in the field. I think some of it as due to the lack of contact in Japanese baseball. I want to say Nishioka got hurt the first time someone hit him with a takeout slide on a double play - I had a good laugh when I found that shirt the other day.

Hardy did kind of stink that year he was in MN (although a lot of that was due to nagging injuries), but yeah, what a mistake.

Now playing

The best part is we traded JJ Hardy to make room for him!

Remember when the Twins paid over $5 million for the rights to sign this guy? I even bought his shirt.

This is a good idea. I've always thought there was a niche waiting to be filled by someone who could provide a one-stop shop for what to watch that got into details like when and what channel it was on as well as why someone should care about it.

We kept this open-ended and not specific to Deadspin because we didn't want to forestall the discussion at all. But one thing I've heard from a number of people, in re Deadspin, is that we need live scores, box scores, etc. I agree.

Best contact Arcia has made all year.

Thanks for looking it up. I always found that kind of strange about Piazza. He clearly had the green light if he wanted it, and he wasn't even an elite (non-BA-driven) OBP guy, averaging like 65 walks per 162. Yet, he barely ever swung the bat 3-0. Just kind weird. I'm all for OBP and walks, but counter-intuitively,

Sorry. I know that. I wasn't thinking.
Makes the number even more worthless. If he never swung at at 3-0 count, he'd be at 1.000, right?

Both David Eckstein and Alfredo Griffin had 1.000 OBP on 3-0 counts. It is only really matters for anyone who would ever swing on such a count.

No, it's not trolling.

This is not trolling.

The idiocy of this comment epitomizes your entire tenure at Deadspin.

I'm imagining two chupacabras 69ing.

"Patrick, your deal is 420 million cab driver assaults' worth."

Dozier is far from a household name - in fact, in Minnesota, when most people hear of Dozier, they still think of the bust of a draft pick that the Vikings made in 1987. However, he does have sixteen home runs, leads the league in runs scored, and is on pace for a 30-30 season. So, yeah, probably not the best choice

Sure, why not?

Do any of y'all know whether it's possible to make $6745 per week working from home and using nothing but google?
