I wish we had Utes in the States.

Especially in CA with AC and radio blasting in traffic. I'm really not sure what they were thinking here.

Well congrats to Mazda, they finally sell enough cars to have to make a compliance car!

I think they’re betting on people not realizing how different rated range and real world range actually are. As an EV owner, I’ll tell you now, it can be as much as 50%. That means this thing on a bad day might only muster like 50 miles of range. Rough.

“.................... the only thing that ruins it for me is the range....... “

It’s actually a difficult decision...

Agreed. It’s kinda obvious that this is a compliance car

They’ll lease enough of them to keep CARB happy while they work on their next offering.

Throw in the usual battery degradation after the first couple of years and this actually becomes a golf cart with a nice interior.

Thought it’s clearly a compliance car? Unfortunately, smaller automakers bear a higher relative burden...

That's pret much what I want too. 2 doors good.

If she didn’t die during the heist, I want to know what the script had her doing the rest of the film. She really can’t be there at the end when Han kills Beckett, can she?

I contend that the Jeep Gladiator is the WRONG cab configuration. If they had built it as a ‘extra cab’, with a shorter cab and a longer bed, it would have made more sense.

I honestly forgot she was in the movie.

Yeah, that part made no sense at all. No reason for her to die. Other than because the script says so.

Howard worked with what L/M had shot and written, if she was gonna make it through their script, then she’d have made it through his as well. There would be excerpts of the pre-reshoot material floating around, and there isn’t. Plus there is no narrative space for her character in the story subsequent to that scene.

I thought it was so that Becket wouldn’t get very brutally murdered for failing to make some rich bastard all the richer, which is what would have happened if they failed? The gang was on Dryden Vos’ shitlist already, this heist was their last chance, and if they failed to bring home the goods, then they were going to

I agree. Solo wasn’t a very good movie, but she was very good in it. I’d happily see her return.

It’s almost like someone thought all brown people are the same or something LOL  But yeah having Puerto Ricans, Cubans, etc depicting Mayan characters is certainly not “representation”.

that art style is kind of awful in my opinion, like the mutant offspring of splatoon and psychonauts

Well, I’ll watch it because it’s an exciting to see a culture explored that isn’t generally given any attention to. But holy hell, I am so tired of the “girl rebelling against feminine expectations to take on a masculine role” trope. Yet another princess who wants to be a warrior.
