There’s 18 months of purchasing / lease exit/rollover necessities happening in the span of 6 months, when the production in the 12 months prior had been cut in half. There’s probably a few people who want to upgrade without a great reason, but my brother had an engine go out on his car, my sister in law blew a trans

The problem isn’t that “everyone” needs a new vehicle. The problem is, supply is much lower than demand.

>“Every car I’ve ever had I’ve had negative equity,” Mr. Simmons said.

I’m just pleased that the officers had active body cams.

You didn’t miss anything. The only screw up here is the officer should have put the evidence on top of the car to avoid the appearance of impropriety. Considering there were no charges filed this seems like a bunch of words about a non-event.

Jalopnik writers: Cannonball runs are bad and speeding is bad and so is racing!
Also Jalopnik wirters: This person who was driving 18mph over the speed limit should not have been pulled over in the first place!

Cop Appears To Plant Evidence During Totally Worth-It Traffic Stop

Sixty three in a 45 will get anyone stopped, regardless of color, every single time. Nice try, though.

This is a great reminder of not jumping to conclusions without having all of the facts. The cell phone video suggests a much different picture than what actually happened.

I would add to the sentiment of “don’t look up the video”.

Godspeed, Hugo.

Going 300mph in a car built in a shed. Or, 331mph. Even if they had made that speed, does anyone really care? Who looks at Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Koenigsegg...but would rather have one of these because of top speed? I suppose that customer is out there, but fuck them for having such shit supercar taste.

So, they’re a “small time” manufacturer that couldn’t bother to spend $10k to get a proper verification and just depended on a average  GPS race data recorder?

So they wait for everyone to forget their news story and now admit they lied so they can get in a “we broke 300” story a second time? Hard pass on any claims coming out of SSC, not going to believe it if they told me they broke 60mph.

Kevin Anderson is a talentless hack that can’t create his own worlds and so makes a living tarnishing other people’s creations. It’s a shame that Brian Herbert is lending his name to give the appearance of authenticity to this farse.

Maybe we’ll get a spin-off series about Sting in a space speedo. Not Feyd-Rautha, but Sting himself.

“What do you despise? By this are you truly known.”

In my case, I despise the ‘prequels’, Brian Herbert and Anderson’s blatant attempt to profit off of Frank’s legacy, with their dumbed down, Dan Brown-level ‘franchise’.

It’s absolute shit. Unreadable shit, that completely fails to understand or expand on its source

Case in point; a forensic reconstruction by Alfons and Adrie Kennis from skeletons of a father and child.

I like Frank Herbert and the original Dune novels but this shit needs to end.

The design is all Blade Runner, but it looks like a PS2 cutscene, right?
