My family had an early 60's 403 wagon with 3 rows of seats, which looked like an ambulance with side-opening rear door. It had folding jump seats in the middle, and basically a large couch for the third seat. It was indestructible. I continued to drive it in high school even though it had been in a low-speed dirt road

I think there’s a balance to be struck. Sure, riding around in the back of a station wagon in the 80s was more dangerous than buckling up - but it’s clear the pendulum has swing back a little far. If we’re being honest, we have to admit we’re a little overly sensitive to some things these days.

It’s mostly alarmist nonsense. It’s like they are trying to CYA for legal reasons. There is nothing wrong with giving your dog a couple fries or chips or even tastes of beer.

I know I’m going to sound old AF, but since when did dogs develop all these food issues? We used to feed dogs just about everything (but chocolate) or everything we dropped on the floor by accident.

Yeah I mean I don’t think anyone thinks hot dogs are *good* for dogs. But there’s a big difference between something that is bad for them in an acute sense vs. a chronic sense. If the argument is just that it’s bad for them in the same sense too many hot dogs are bad for humans (just a bit more extreme), then even

I can’t imagine any dog getting sick from a hotdog. Maybe a small “punting dog” would, but I’ve seen many dogs consume many hotdogs, and it was never an issue.

“Aren’t these rich people the worst?”

Thank you. I’m getting sick of all these articles (in fairness, not just on this site) which act like the uber rich are sitting on giant piles of cash. This article and all of the tax-dodger ones a few weeks ago are like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Maybe this topic would have been better suited for someone without so much hatred/bias against Musk.

Musk doesn’t have $170 billion. Yes, he’s filthy rich, but come on here, he doesn’t have $170 billion. When you guys say shit like this, it undercuts your argument. It comes off as you being disingenuous, so what other things are you being disingenuous about that I might not realize?

Because Starlink is primarily targeting remote area users where high speed internet service is difficult and expensive, there simply may not be enough target users to recoup the massive initial investment.”

Your right, they need to target the areas that are a Comcast Monopoly where the prices for internet are higher

I love Drive. That said i think it’s a valid complaint that a trailer creates an expectation that the movie can’t meet. Like if you create a trailer that makes a movie look like a love story when it’s really a horror movie you’re gonna get people disappointed when they go in expecting a romantic loves story. I think

This car has been boring the past 5 years.

If they don’t do a hatchback, I don’t give one single fuck about this car. I know I am not alone.

Calling Kukoc a rookie is wildly misleading. It was his first year in the NBA, but he was playing professionally for 7 years before that, leading his team to winning 3 Euroleague titles 3 years in a row.

Vaping off into the sunset...

Cannonball Run such a fun watch as a kid and such a WTF watch as an adult. I couldn’t believe how crazy it all really was. Just a bunch of drinking buddies making some easy cash between parties. And Dean Martin not ever actually exiting party mode.

“Why would Toni, who’s a rookie, get the last-second shot and you put me out of bounds?”

With all this talk about representation, I still wonder why they weren‘t able to cast a single Russian actor in a movie full of Russian characters.
