Anyone who writes that robotic manufacturing has reached a plateau is likely a robot writing to fool human readers.

Great, the day we finally discover this is also the day the government goes ahead and bans vapor.

Go to Patreon, look for MorePurpleMoreBetter.  PDF character sheets constantly updated that automatically calculate everything.  It’s fantastic AND better than the official app in every way.

I know people aren’t supposed to praise the SSR, but my brother had the late model version for a few years, and damned if that thing wasn’t fun as hell to ride up and down PCH and Topanga Canyon with the top down.

On one hand, having ridden plenty of tall bikes with a 31" inseam, I won’t mince words with false bravado: tall bikes SUCK in stop-and-go city traffic. They also suck in stopping, anywhere. They suck most in stopping while facing up a hill, atop a pockmarked road, when you’re trying to make a turn (ESPECIALLY, a right

Fake or not, I do have to give her props for one thing:

Yeah, Star Wars was never nerdy (at least not until the whole “EU” thing came about).

Now imagine what’s happening right this moment. The House of Mouse may already be self-censoring because it has a brand image to uphold. That self-censorship will now be applied to nearly 40 percent all the movies you watch, and between ABC and Hulu and Disney+ it will own a whole heckuva lot of the TV you

Studies for decades now show how horrible the constant stress of environmental sound is for the health of humans and animals alike. But rather than rethink the relationship of the automobile to pedestrians and bicyclists, we’re going to refuse this literal once-in-a-lifetime chance to eliminate noise pollution—

I will say this: as much as I’ve come around to the “fabric seats are good” camp here at Jalopnik (as long as they’re NICE fabric— PLEASE EXPORT US YOUR WOOL, JAPAN), if you’re going to go leather, *King Ranch leather* is extraordinary.

Should I be hating the Veloster’s interior? Because I don’t hate it. I actually find it refreshingly simple and honest, especially compared to that MOUNTAINDEWEXXXTREME!!1!1 interior in the Civic.

This feels like an important, yet neglected, point. Readers— and frankly, probably manufacturers— look at the later model year manual take rates and see a declining trend (only 20%), when in reality, the *total* take rate over all combined model years tells the more relevant story.

As much as I love Fury Road, I’m still heartbroken Max lost the Interceptor in the first minutes of the film...

For that reason, it’s actually far easier to pick up one of these big cruisers than it is many sport bikes, they don’t tip all the way over.

It looks totally awesome.

A.K.A., a success.

Clean and working, this bike is completely reasonable at $4500 for someone who wants to indulge their nostalgia.

My MSF instructor ten years ago now (has it been THAT long??) said something wise that stuck with me. He drew a multi-lane highway on the whiteboard and asked the group, “Which is the safest lane to ride in?” Everyone had different answers, to which he responded, “The safest lane to ride in is the safest lane at that

Lanesplitting should be legal everywhere in the U.S., for a variety of reasons, but as others have noted, safety is likely the least compelling from a evidence-based perspective. Far better arguments can be made for reducing traffic and incentivizing riding (more benefits to riding = more riders = less traffic).

This book taught me why the zipper merge is the ONLY logical course of action and changed my life for the better.
