Yeah, I’ve done the same with other brand knee armor under a pair of non-armor-but-Kevlar cargo pants (AGV... love the pants, but why oh why can’t they include armor pockets in them?). It works, but it’s not as comfortable/easy as integrated armor.

I’m an ATGATT guy, but I include Kevlar jeans in that mix as an acceptable option. However, I *really do* want the knee & hip armor option in all my riding pants, that part’s not negotiable for my level of comfort.
