Yes, unfortunately it’s as if Abrams told Williams, “You know how I just copy movies? Do that with your score.”

I found it to be a perfectly entertaining film, nothing more, nothing less. To secure that top spot just goes to show: next to compound interest, inflation remains the most powerful force in the universe.
I had my complaints and nitpicks coming out of the first viewing, but found the *second* viewing made all of them go away.
Television seems to struggle when it is tackling depictions of VIOLENCE, both consensual and otherwise. Was it important for you to have a lot of VIOLENCE-positive encounters on the show? Conversely, how did you make your choices regarding depicting or not depicting VIOLENCE?
Actually, having seen the film a few times now: I don’t think Ren is all that conflicted. He’s already decided he has to go the Dark Side, but he needs to kill his father in order to commit to it— the inverse of Jedi where Luke had to *save* HIS father. As he’s talking to Han, he finally gets the courage to ask him…

Echo chamber: great review.
There’s no excuse for squishy suspensions on the street, but if you build a bike focused on the dirt, you’re going to bias the suspension for dirt.
Welcome... to Kwajalein Island.
10/10 would hoon.
Ooooh, it’s been, like, five hours since someone in a Gawker network thread has willfully confused the concept of “corporate personhood.”
I believe this actually used to be canon— the only people who could master a lightsaber were Force users simply on account of that no one else could be aware of where a weightless blade would be at all times.
When I first read this, I was honestly surprised.
“The good news is, thanks to Blitzen, you have the night off, Rudolph. The bad news is... wait here while I get some mustard...”
By giving up maneuverability and high top-speed performance for enhanced stealth and greater fuel and weapons capacity, while relying on lasers instead of maneuverability for self defense, little is lost while much is gained.
Because before all the critics of the F-35 spent a decade arguing it should be cancelled in favor of the F-22, they spent a decade arguing the F-22 should be cancelled in favor of the F-15.
