I wasn’t blown away by the show, but it wasn’t terrible, either. Hoping it grows on me.

I think the “don’t mistake this for something mean” usage is perfectly reasonable. I use it that way a lot myself, and am glad that others do, as well, when I’m chatting with them. Especially if you don’t know that other person well. Chatting with my family members or close friends, I’d never do that, because they…
I had a friend who responded to one of my emails with:
Counterpoint: Episodes is one of the best comedies of the past 30 years (or perhaps, ever).
The theme hmm, like it but don’t love it. The opening notes were enough of a callback (hell yes ! gets those goosebumps going).. but the end of the theme? Full blown Trek theme? It pulls you out of this theme...
Other Space really deserved another couple of seasons.
Y’all are crazy. This spot was brilliant and awesome, and the next time I’m shopping for ice cream, I’m going to seriously consider this brand, because if they’re putting that much artistry into their commercials, imagine what they’re doing with the actual product! ;-)
Exactly.
Good info that I wasn’t aware of. But I’m amazed at the idea of moving a glass from warm water to cold water to hot water... seems like a good way to shatter glass — unless perhaps all quality beer glasses are tempered? (Though I had a Pyrex measuring cup break on me once when I switched from hot to cold liquid right…
Yeah, neither show approaches the quality of The Expanse, but I did like them both, as just fun romps. They are delicious snack food, while The Expanse is a four-course meal prepared by a world-class chef.
Probably nothing more mysterious than them being a friend (aka “connection”) of a friend of a friend (possibly with a few more “of a friend”s added).
CUT TO: Scene from future Avengers movie where an out-of-control Hulk can only be calmed by playing Duran Duran’s “Rio”.
One of the things I’m most interested in is whether Maeve makes it out into the “real world” (whatever or wherever that may be, with all the theories about when and where the park is located), and what happens when she starts interacting with it.
Setting aside me still coming to terms with the look of the Klingons in this series, there’s one other issue that results from that makeup — the fact that the Klingon who speaks in this trailer sounds like he’s wearing a set of fake Halloween vampire teeth. It may be a silly complaint, but it “takes me out of it” a…
Heh. Not being a comic book guy, this is what I was expecting, as well. Or maybe this one, called “Jupiter’s Child” — with lyrics like:
You can take away my “derpy” but please leave me my “hurr-durr!”¹
All I have to say is: the entire world has gone mad when a $700 PHONE is considered a “great deal”.

I am also entirely unfamiliar with Inhumans, and to me it looked... not good. I’m generally all-in on superhero/fantasy/sci-fi/etc. genre shows, but I have less than zero desire to watch even one more second of this.
I struggle with this issue — although my problem is not in speaking ill of another, but rather in vocalizing what I perceive at the time to be positive additions to the conversation. An example would be: during shared highly emotional experiences with friends or family, I often found myself breaking the silence and…
