I am happy to say that Candy Crush Saga sits proudly on my list of games I've never played!

I played both games. Pac-Avoid is so blatantly a clone, it's obscene for King to deny the fact. The mechanics of the game are identical. What's more, King chose to infringe on the 'Pac' branding of Pac-Man.

Can we get a Candy Crush Disaster Watch logo?

Kings.com sounds more and more like the new Zynga each day.

This guy clearly is quite the marketing genius indeed.

Get your name out with a controversial article.
Start with a "big discount" and a "big launch contest".

He'll be sure to make a ton off of this and has next to no requirements for post-launch support should he so desire.

Shut up and take my money!

I'm sure this (whatever mechanic the game is...) will be exploited, unbalanced, or even hacked.

Buy the game, win real money back.
Very smart promotion. Kudos to him.

"currently in alpha and officially releases next week." Who needs beta!

Anyone know if it's actually a fun game overall? I'd get it to have fun with and maybe out of luck get some cash who knows. The more who play though he's admitted the currency rate will flux.

Pretty brilliant idea. He'll surely make more than $3000 just from all the people buying it to try for cash, or just from the publicity this will sweep through the web.

Xenogears is from Square, but the creator of Xenogears is the President of Monolith soft, and creator of Xenoblade, and X too (i know, he loves de Xeno), He created Xenosaga for Namco too, and the character designer of X is the same of Xenogears and Xenosaga

This is the game that would get me to buy the WiiU. That's right. I would buy a WiiU for this game alone.

Things that CAN be changed at this point for me to consider the WiiU:

for $50 bundled on Amazon there is a HDTV tuner and HDMI converter, I considered almost getting one so i could watch local channels while playing games but then just decided to plug my 360 into the HDMI-in port of the X1 so I could just stream YouTube and Netflix while racing in Forza. Works great.

He's likely using a TV Tuner card in his PC running Windows Media Center. Then he can use his PC to watch TV and act as a DVR. So whatever is broadcast over the air in his area he should be able to watch.

I'm probably one of the few non-hardcore gamers who do own all three last-gen consoles. However, I've probably only played my Wii a handful of times in the last two years, my 360 is actually dead (been meaning to get it fixed though), and my PS3 has basically been relegated to blu-ray player status aside from a few

I feel like you raise some valid points here. The 3rd-party support for Nintendo has been weaker since we left the age of the SNES. It's been their 1st-party development that has provided most of the steam since those days. And I'm in the same boat as you. I play mostly Playstation games and have used my Wii for

I buy Nintendo consoles because of Nintendo games, but I'm always surprised by the third party content that comes out. The Wii was a treasure trove for this.

Off the top of my head: Silent Hill Shattered Memories, House of the Dead Overkill, Fragile Dreams, Ghost Squad, Goldeneye 007, SamSho anthology, MadWorld, No

Yeah but not everyone has that outlook. Nintendo has to make money and they've done a pretty crappy job of it with this console. If you're aiming for this market of kids who have to ask their parents to buy the console for them the parents have their questions. I remember getting my folks to pick me up an NES, the
