Completely agree. There is still a lot of room for these games, they just need to step up the quality of them and relax on all the fluff they think I want (with cash shops, etc.)

There's a lot to be said for playing games that you actively pay for. I don't know about you but I definitely find myself wanting to play sub-based games more because, well, I need to feel I'm getting value for my money.

I will gladly pay $15 per month if the game warrants it. So far, I'm not seeing the value but that's based on a very slim view of the game from the live demo a few weeks back and other small bits of info here and there.

hahahahah... I have NO idea what you're talking about!

Thanks. I think that's a good way to summarize what I was trying to get across. And apparently I did a poor job of it... lol

While I think some of those comparisons are a bit of stretch, I see your point. Thanks!

So if I'm in favor of it, even though I don't follow it consistently, my opinion and reason to say so is okay to be stated. But if I don't, I need to keep quiet? I think everyone's opinion and what they think subjectively is always something they have a right to state. It just seems the ones who don't agree or don't

It's great to see people who worked on things that didn't pan out finally get the recognition they rightfully deserve. Must have been an incredibly rewarding thing to go through when he did this recently.

I'm not a part of speedrunning and never claimed to be. Doesn't mean I can't comment on my opinion of people who are. I've watched many of them on twitch and as much as I've tried to appreciate what they do, I don't. That's how I feel, won't apologize for it.

Yeah okay that was my bad... I guess it's the result of being very passionate against these as I've always felt that way. Was it wrong to accuse them as being bad or wrong? Maybe so. But again, I just don't like them.

The last thing I'll say, since it's clear you don't understand where I'm coming from, is that I don't "like" these types of runs and don't see them as a legit run. I'm not saying they shouldn't happen at all. There are fans for them, sure.

Gimme a break. You expect someone to know a community completely in and of itself before commenting on it? I've watched speed runs since the days of SMB until now and while I don't follow it incessantly, I can still voice my opinion of what I feel is a proper speed run.

Sorry to come across 'silly' but these are the only types of speed runs I seem to ever see these days so it definitely appears to me as though this is the only type that ever get recognized and therefore are THE top type of speed runs overall.

Wow. LOL. Okay so you're not willing to let other people speak their opinion? Noted.

[EDIT] Maybe my comment was 'glitched' now? Ironic... lol

Maybe so. I just remember speed runs back in the day when games were played to their full extent, like Super Mario Bros 3, where no glitches were done. Probably because they didn't exist but those were fun to watch because they still required a lot of precision and luck.

Well I'm one that thinks a proper speed run is with zero glitches, modifications, tool-assists, etc. I don't think any reasonable person can expect a game like this beaten in that fast a time without something being broken. But then again, are we all reasonable?? I'm the first to admit that sometimes I'm not... lol

Yeah I don't mean to take away the skill of pulling off these types of runs... they're impressive no doubt. But if this type of speed run is regarded as the supreme, number one run of all... I just think it's a cheap way to get that recognition.

Who said anyone expected that? Pretty sure most of us knew what we were gonna see, doesn't mean it's a legit way to do a proper speed run in the eyes of some.

Forgot to add in 'glitching'; added now.
