I am pretty sure somebody forgot the EA vs Activision war. And although the two large companies compete on the same level, Activision is usually has the higher numbers, but not always the greater quality in product and support. I think TOR and the ME series are proving this to be true. But as someone else pointed out,

I think this title is deceiving. Democracy and other types of political structures are not synonymous with the economic structures outlined here.

I think that with WoW's popularity and success it has defined a large part of the genre. So for new titles to compete, they need to achive at minimum, what WoW has, and hopefully surpass it to really be a better game and live longer.
