I wish there was a segment like Fine Art that was towards UI interfaces. I have an odd affection for sexy, minimalist UI and Destiny definitely tickles my fancy. UI artists just don't get the credit they deserve because when there is great UI, the player should never notice it but the game itself.

Owen couldn't pass up the opportunity

Gabe made sure that was there just to troll us... Classic Gabe

Wow, I didn't even notice that!

Why should it never be turned into a game? What, should we never have sad movies or books or songs?

Dont get too worked up by that asshole. It seems a small group of people are running around, badmouthing Sony's paltry exclusivity deals with Activision and Bungie as if Microsoft doesn't do the same thing with a dozen other titles.

Sony is publishing Destiny in Japan.

The majority voted and the majority have spoken.

Now playing

This clip was taken a day or two ago in a behind-closed-doors look at the game; it's from a far more current build of the game and it seems to be shaping up nicely. Shame they didn't actually show this at Sony's conference due to the short moments where the framerate stutters a bit, (just as any alpha or earlier build

I like the idea that upon your defeat, you are supposed to turn into a monster yourself. I hope it's not the silly 'getting gray-faced' like in Dark Souls 2, where there isn't a huge difference from your undead self and your living self.

I've seen enough. I'm sold.

Hell yes.

Oh yeah, nothing more pathetic then people who take a break from playing videogames and then go online on a videogameblog and post condescendingly about other people doing something similar with their leisure time.

"This isn't dignified. Don't rely on the gross factor to portray an undead dragon. Can't you instead try to convey the deep sorrow of a magnificent beast doomed to a slow and possibly endless descent into ruin?".

No one's saying their reasoning a lie, people are saying it's an absolute shit reason. I don't think I ever heard of a game use "oh it's too expensive" when thinking of including females. Could you imagine if Mass Effect 3 didn't have FemShep because they said "oh that Voice Acting would be too expensive?"

So instead of watching it and saying "hey ok it is beautiful, they did a nice job", you say that it is pretty but not that pretty because 'pre-render', 'assets', 'far distance', 'fidelity' etc.

Kinja happened.
