Your talking CHARACTERS from a children's show. You saying adults have never bought Spongebob shirts or paraphernalia? They make them in adult sizes for a reason.

It's the same reasons adults liked 'Powerpuff Girls' or 'Fairly Odd Parents' or 'Spongebob' as much as their kids. It's made by a good team that made the characters relatable and funny, made the script in a smart way that can mean different things to both the kids and adults, and the voice acting is nice as well.
