To my undrestanding, on the Xbox One, by default all games are installed to the Hard Drive (this is mandatory), which will in-turn tie those games to your account (making you no longer need the disc, but also making that particular disc useless).

But ... WoW is better than all of the other MMO's you named.
ugh, I already updated last night in order to watch Netflix.
I remember renting Zelda II as a kid, and being super excited for the new Zelda game... only to be severely disappointed. I hated that game.
I would very much like to see this, but based on Microsofts current showing of digitally purchased games, it's safe to assume that it will not.
I'd rather play it on PC, anyhow, honestly :)
The iPad comparison is terrible because you don't need an Internet connection to use one. You can go for days, weeks or even months without connecting. You only need to connect if/when you want to update the device or apps, or you want to buy a new app. Even then you can get those updates on your PC or Mac, connect…
What do you know that the rest of us who have to wait until release don't know?
Assassin's Creed 4 is confirmed for Launch as well.
I'm in MA and they don't charge me sales tax =)
Even if you're the kind of d-bag that does this, the game is server based for matches and requires a login to the Ubernet servers with an appropriate (alpha, right now) game key to even start the game.
I smirked.
People are buying the privilege to play the game extremely early. This was basically put in place so that people that didn't have the opportunity to buy in during the Kickstarter campaign still can.
They had dontations to fund the game already; it was a very sucessful kickstarter campaign that I was proud to be a part of (to date, this is the only game that I've kickstarted... and I was, and am, excited to do so).
That's a lot of money, sure, for what's essentially an alpha of the game, but in addition to access now it also gives you entry to the game's beta and then the finished thing when it's out in December, which is a whole six months away.
I seem to recall a big 'feature' of Sim City, and why it needed to be always online, was all of the miraculous things the game could do 'in the cloud'; we've seen how that turned out (it was almost entirely marketing fluff and lies).
lawsuits r dum
Every time I see his face, I want to punch it. This is more due to his role in Revolution than Breaking Bad, though.
To my understanding, Destiny is cross-platform (console only) but will have exclusive PS4 content. They've also only shown gameplay, so far, while playing on PS4 hardware.
I do, if I'm taking the match remotely seriously. I find that it makes it more fun, and providing clear communication is a great way to help your team achieve victory.
