Wrong. They outdid Nintendo. Nintendo would only close the monetization of these videos etc. They would never close a stream or had such ridiculous restriction beside the 7/7 date.

Yes they need to. Persona games in the West are still niche. If you are proud of your game show it but now I have ridiculous restrictions not even Nintendo has. And now streamers are unsure what to do.
I want this game to suceed but now the samage has already been done by getting not much exposure but rather articles of the backwards thinking of Atlus JP. And its not teven teh eU or US branch since they do understand the importance of streaming. Its backwards thinking 80 year old japanese bosses
Oh Boo ho I am playing the game but I also love to watch other people play parts I liked ot reated to. Its great fun and enjoyment to see peoples reactions. So yeah boo hoo me for loving video games and loving seeing reactions to it.
They already do. And they are not affected by it since there are alsways ton of game out. The only people who will suffer are Atlus because of lost sales and popularity
If this is not enough. Why do you think publishers seek more and more streamers for their games to show? Especially with niche games like Persona it is important to get these people.
Yeah that is why more and more devveloper in the west set their hopes and pre sales on Streamer.... This kind of backwards thinking will costs them tons of money. When people with 500k subs or an average of 40k viewers a day on Twitch will not play this game because of it....
Really hope that the backlash gets even bigger until they remove this restriction for streaming. I love this game but knowing this in my head makes the game less enjoyable to be honest.
Not really. There are various statistics out there. One for example is this. And yes its comming from Twitch but its still countable.
Again Gianbomb P4 endurance run which bought Persona actually in the well known game series. This is not really an argument. Since you can also go with games like the Last of us (Teens react) streaming in general. Or even the newest Horizon game. Hell you could even argue that with FFXV which got quite a boost after…
People do not watch streams because of the games.... People watch streams because of the personality of these streamers. They get in there and asking what game it is. They watch adn then they get interesed and will buy it after the stream is over. Do you really think someone like PewdiePie has 55 subscirbers because…
One last thing. There is a reason why Twitch now makes it possible to directly buy the game someone is streaming. Because it makes fucking money. They will build a whole system around it.
People who watch whole playthroughs have no intention of plaiyng the game anyway. But these streamers get people to buy these games. Sotry based or not. I bought quite a few heavy story games because I watched streams of it. For example only these kind of streams actually made me aware of the Yakuza series and know I…
Streaming is basically free advertising. Especially with such a long game like persona. No one will watch this for 150 hours live but just switch in. And if they get interested the will buy it.
Anyone else things that its kind of ironic that a game with such a main theme of opression, social standards and old thinking has the most draconian streaming policy ever seen?
There are stats out. Great example: Pewdiepie played skate and it went back into the UK charts again. Indies take adeventage of this huge opportunity. When someone like Lirik with 44k viewers plays your Indigame you can see huge spikes in sales.
Also they just topped Nintendo level of Stupidness. But I guess the one who will be lucky now is Bioware. Gamers found another target. How can Atlus be so backwards...
Most of them do this. Tehre is stuff like Patreon. Merchendise products, Many also now stream on Twitch etc. Big channels have more than the advertising money.
ITs most likely Patreon stuff. It will surely not patreon exclusive but rather getting the support they need to make these videos. Either that or some new platform could raise and then Youtube is in serious trouble.
this will most likely lead to 2 conclusions.
