For me the cut content is the reason to skip it because this is not showing the real Yakuza game and atmosphere. So many things that also are typical for this Series has been cut.

There was always a item for each character that removed these annoying streetfights on every corner. But otherwise I agree with you. doing all the side content and then constantly getting into fights did level you up way too fast as well. So the whole hard mode was just a joke after a few hours.

I did back then when it came out. Like i normally do. But with 3 I was pretty pissed since the amount of stuff that got censored came only out after the release. Which still made me buy it. If I had known it earlier I would not have bought it.

There was much more cut than “just” he hostess stuff. In fact it was over 20% of the side quests you could do. Also the hostess stuff was cut back then because it did not fit with our western culture. Luckily they have realized that this is also part of the series people want to experience.
