Aye. Though it wouldn’t surprise me to find out they tried like they did with Human Head: get them to make a game for them, claim they didn’t hit a milestone, withhold funding, wait for studio to start dying, and then swoop in with an offer to buy them out. That’s exactly what happened with Human Head - Zeni fucked

I don’t think he’s screamy or crunchy (in fact, from what I’ve heard, Beth’s employment policies are pretty good) or gropey, but Todd seems like the most boring guy in gaming, just from playing his games. He seems like the kinda guy who’d rather stay at home sort his sock drawer by type, colour, and weight than going

Just like the guy above doesn’t have to click on the article, you and the others don’t have to fall all over themselves to defend Kotaku.

It’s truly impressive the amount of trolls/blantant-idiots responding to your comment with “duh they’re covering Spider-Man!” Like... this isn’t news, though, this doesn’t need to be covered, and your comment is just making a joke of that.

But there I go, giving the “humans” who comment at Kotaku in a hateful manner

It’s not all that weird, BR drives have required this for a while.

Its a cult.

The preservation argument has always been a weird one to me. As a preservationist, my goal is to preserve originals for future generations. The issue, in my mind, is this isn’t preserving, it’s recreating. You can’t have it both ways, you can’t complain about preservation then complain they didn’t make it 8k 300fps

I assume it has to do with prize money and this being enough of a commercial enterprise that the property rights on those characters have “value.”

Is anyone making money? Are people profiting on it?

You’re an idiot. It has more to do with the fact that the optics around that franchise has become so bad, so notoriously toxic that Nintendo doesn’t want to be attatched to it.

you sound genuinely unwell.

if players have to disable half the game to make it competitive + they somehow feel entitled to complain about that— as if nintendo are the ones making the mistake—then i’m sorry to say the players are the ones who are mistaken in their complaints. there’s absolutely nothing wrong with making up your own rules, but

Nah. What’s actually amazing is that Smash still has a competitive scene after vast swaths of it were accused of grooming, sexual assault, and illegal gambling. While I’m not saying Nintendo has a point here we do need to remember that the last time Nintendo actually made even a paltry effort to support the Smash

Welp, the scene should just decide on another game to switch over to.

Nintendo has made it very clear they don’t want it to exist and designed the game in such a way that half the game’s content has to be disabled in order for it to be competitive in the first place

Then go play that version or run it in an emulator.  The collection isn’t for you.

Kotaku would like you to know there is a new Spider-Man game out.

What’s not profound about this?

Oh everyone getting on a high horse can fuck the fuck off. Have you played the game? Miles couldn’t be more Puerto Rican, they gave him a fantastic suit based on the PR flag.

Will do. Thank you!
