I know it’s a crazy thought, but not everyone can afford to just buy a steam deck. Many people have one console to play on, and that’s all they can afford. “Just buy a Steam Deck” is as unhelpful as telling someone to “just move.” It’s an incredibly privileged suggestion that ignores reality.

Skyrim Anniversary on Switch for the same $70 msrp as PS5 and Xbox is a joke. It’s already bad enough on those other two platforms, but the Switch version doesn’t even get the same upgrades. 

It wasn’t THAT long ago that Nintendo had a “Nintendo Selects” line that discounted their big first-party games to $20. They stopped doing it in 2015 apparently.

While actual results matter, in publicly traded companies it matters more how it compares to projected results. Don’t say 50 and then fall far short. At some point it’s actually illegal if investors can prove it was a lie.

As always, the best deals can be found outside of Steam. I highly recommend using gg.deals to check out reseller prices. They’re usually significantly lower than Steam’s. gg.deals also distinguishes between authorized and unauthorized resellers if you’re worried about that.

Obviously you wouldn’t want an NDA to be without consequences if broken in a way that might not have provable loss. That said, I think Conway’s arguments about provable loss are pretty tenuous and if that was the only recourse on a broken NDA it could be a tough case.
