Did you just figure this out? It’s been known for quite some time now.

The idea is to proliferate them to as many people as possible so the game will be out there in some form on someone’s hard drive. It’s not preservation so much as replication.

Honestly, yeah. Dead Space recreated the original game, tweaking somethings for the better while retaining everything that made the original great. It’s on par with Resident Evil 2002 as my favorite remake.

SNES had a pretty good excuse in that cartridges cost significantly more than CDs to produce and different components cost different. Switch has the same issue on a cheaper scale, BUT the quality is usually lower for multiplat big budget games, like MK11.

Debatable. Daytona Beach sank into the ocean last year condemning several properties and permanently closing many businesses, Irma flooded several cities and did over a billion dollars in damage to Florida agriculture, several cities flooded this year alone just from tropical storms.
