Nearly this same thing happened to me. I suffered for two weeks before seeing a doctor, because I didn't have insurance at the time. Cranberry juice did not help AT ALL, but once I was given proper antibiotics, it cleared up within a day or two.

It's definitely no big deal. I've never considered virginity to be all that 'special', but I didn't lose mine until college (19), and only when it felt like the natural thing to do (and I'm still with the guy, 3 years later). If that moment wouldn't have come for another 5 or 10 years, then so be it. There are more

The storefront I was photographing my friends in front of was actually a colourful video arcade in Shibuya. I don't know what they were trying to hide.

I was also stopped in Tokyo from taking pictures of friends in front of shopfronts. I wonder if this has changed at all with the advent of Google Maps/Streetview.

When I went in to get a second cat I was set on getting one that wasn't black. My reasons were that a) I already had a black cat and wanted variety, and b) I'm a photographer and taking photos of black animals sucks since they absorb all the light. Anyway, I somehow ended up coming home with a super sweet pure black

I have loads of expensive cat toys that my cats don't touch. Batteries, however, and anything shaped like them (like chapsticks) blow their minds.

I only saw it for the first time in that photo there. I'm not squeamish, but I couldn't help but cringe when I saw that... knowing that hickeys and bruises are miniature areas of internal bleeding near the surface of the skin. How is that supposed to help cure anything?? :(

I feel like it's a bit of a stretch, even though some of the commenters seem to agree with the article. Personally, as I continued to read it I found myself just disagreeing entirely with her point.

@louisawesome: Ack... I admit I'm one of those women (sort of). It's a lot more even now, but through my teenage years, most of my closest friends were guys. It definitely wasn't an inferiority issue, though. I think I just felt more comfortable with boys because I felt awkward and unfeminine around other girls,

@mishmisha: Totally! I even think the combination of natural occurrences that could cause those experiences are more interesting than any paranormal explanation.

@twisterchamp: The bit with the woman in black gave me chills. I can't help but keep turning around in my chair to make sure that there's no one behind me.

@hotlikesauce: Yeah, I've considered it. Once I stopped believing in ghosts, nothing freaky ever really happened again, but I would still occasionally have some weird moments upon waking up where I couldn't move.

I'm a diehard skeptic, but up until my mid-teens I had some very strange, questionable experiences which include some of my most vivid childhood memories.

I have a complicated foreign name that only a handful of people have ever pronounced or spelled properly on the first try. People often get it wrong, in speech and on paper. I'm almost always asked about it upon introduction (though usually not in an insensitive way), and most people tend to forget and sheepishly

@Holly: Threadless has been using it's own T-shirt brand for a while now. Their designs haven't printed on American Apparel since 2006.
