There are FOUR people able to play VR in this game, but we only got three....

‘Cultural appropriation’ is the basest, most boring of all of the stupid ways in which one can foolishly find themselves getting offended on behalf of other people.

As Drawn Buggy Hits Teens, Man Gives Their Horse “Rumspringa”, He Yells Yuengling, Goes to Amish-Prison.

Yeah same here. Although I really wouldn’t want them to redo the voice acting in it or change the cut-scenes in anyway.

Nintendo press release, May 5:

you know what would i love (or dream) that the consoles always be region free (i dont remember if the ps4/one are) and that the japanese games have english subs (i think bayonetta 2 had that) so we can just import the games and play them without any problems like this, you want the complete unaltered game? import it

Explaining the reasoning behind a publisher’s censorship decision is actually a pretty good idea. Nice write up, Patrick.

This is a great reply, and deserves its own article.

You bring up some good points that are definitely worth discussing. The conversation over “leaks” in gaming journalism is an interesting one, and one we’ve discussed a LOT internally. (I sit next to Stephen, and he and I have conversations about this sort of thing ALL the time.)

Can you imagine what it would be like if that happened in real life? “What do you mean you don’t have a pumpkin spice latte? I’m coming by to your house later to fuck you up! I hope your entire family dies and I’m going to make that happen!”

For those who are going “This isn’t what I want in a Pokemon games. i want random battles, leveling up and the other stuff”, remember that this isn’t a game to replace the main games (because that would cut sales for their portable consoles if you can get a similar or equal experience on mobile phones)

This game is a

I rest my case.

A lot of it is indoctrinated into young men. While we should expect people to move past their programming, some people simply aren’t capable of doing that. As a fairly open minded male I still have to stop myself often and question if something I was about to say is how I feel or how I’m expected to feel.

Different stories will resonate with different people, of course, but to me the idea of Nathan and Elena having a precocious daughter who wants to be just like her dad is way more interesting than any sort of father/son relationship they could have done.
