I only did the genocide ending for the last boss. The playthrough was depressing, but that fight was one of the most brutal things I've actually been able to finish.

As others are saying though, a neutral run is the best way for a first time play. The game actually wants you to do that and your first run is directly linked to your second for reasons the game explains after you finish it first.

I will say the game is definitely worse if you try fighting. Trying to do the genocide run is a seriously depressing and dull experience, and the game is intentionally doing that to make you feel like shit. Also, doing the bad ending results in probably one of the most toughest boss fights I have ever done.

Especially awkward when you call her mom and then flirt with her on the cell phone. She tells others about it in one of the endings and it creeps everyone out.

The game ending can also change if you try to hack it, and if you do the genocide ending it will effect your other playthroughs regardless if you uninstall it or not. You literally have to edit your registry for your computer. The reason being is that the game is saying there are always consequences you can’t…

Oddly enough this sounds more like a game about a global metallurgy based manufacturer and it’s exploitative regional manager stationed in a third world country facility where you play as a worker in union named Crystal Hounds that stages a strike against unfair wages, conditions, and whatnot.
